Activities & Wellness

Cross Road has a full time Activity Director for each area. Residents are allowed to choose their own level of involvement in the community.

Regularly scheduled weekly and monthly activities include: Day trips on one of our two buses, Dinner Outings, Shopping, Exercise, Games, Devotions and Bible Study, Musical Performances, Crafts, and Celebrations of all types.

Wellness

The Activity Annex at Cross Road Retirement Community is designed for all residents encouraging a more healthy and active lifestyle. There is a Walking Club, group exercises and a variety of trivia and other games to strengthen residents' minds, bodies, and souls.

Intergenerational Activities


Shepherd’s Way Day School

Shepherd’s Way Day School is located on our campus. They have a maximum capacity of 122 children that range in age from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. They are open from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Children from the day care are brought down to socialize with our residents.

Eagle Oaks

The Baptist Children’s Homes of NC provide residential services for the developmentally disabled adults. One of their homes is located on our campus. This ministry is designed to provide a safe living environment with a Christian atmosphere that includes opportunities for spiritual enrichment, preparation of nutritious meals, transportation, enhancement of daily and independent living skills and social skills. They promote and support maximum independence, individual growth, and inclusion in their community. Eagle Oaks provides 6 special ladies with a positive, safe place to live. They all work, attend school, community activities and attend Cross Road Baptist Church. For more information, call 336-626-7002.
